Slight delay in writing up this post which I apologise for, as I’ve been busy with university. I’ve decided today to talk about a couple of health and fitness apps that I like, as health and fitness are topics of interest particularly at the start of the year.
The first app I want to talk about is Accupedo. It’s available on Android as well as iOS and is a step counting app. What I like about it is that it digitalises the traditional pedometer and conveniently puts into the user’s smartphone. Moreover, it doesn’t require a smartwatch/ fitness tracker! Hurrah!
It follows the bouncing motion of a phone in the pocket to record steps, which I can only hope is reasonably accurate. Above are two screenshots from the app showing:
- My daily steps and
- How it records data over a period of time.
I love how clean the app’s layout is and would absolutely recommend it to anyone that wants to track their daily movement!
Water Time Pro
First of all, how cute is the little water droplet?! This cute little app is only available on Android, but I’m sure there will be something similar for iOS users! When it comes to staying hydrated I’m terrible at remembering to drink enough during the day, so this app provides an excellent way of reminding me to do that. It comes with a variety of liquid options for you to click on to add to your daily water intake, with the droplet getting happier as they become more nourished.
As you can see from the screenshot I’m far from perfect when it comes to drinking enough water/liquids, but it’s so useful having the reminder so that I can try to improve.
What health and fitness apps do you like to use? Let me know in the comments!
